Which paint do I need?
Choosing the right gloss level
There are varying gloss levels available in the Finish Premium Paint range. Generally, the higher the gloss the harder and more washable the paint becomes. Higher gloss levels will also highlight surface imperfections. Colour variations between gloss levels may be apparent. As gloss increases, colours may appear brighter and more intense.
Lighting
Colours will vary depending on the lighting conditions. If a paint is used inside, then colours will tend to appear darker. Incandescent or bulb lighting will cause colours to appear yellower than under normal daylight. Fluorescent lighting will create bluer toning on the painted surface.
The intensity of light falling onto the surface will also change the appearance of your selected colour. The more light on the surface, the lighter the colour will appear. It is advisable to check your chosen colour under varying lighting conditions.
Colour is not something to fear. Daring colour combinations on the exterior of the home will let your home scream with personality. Using colour can define you and you life. With the correct advice even the brightest and most daring colours can still look fantastic – it just takes some imagination!
